This Owl Hooter call is a Beautiful Black Palm with Suriname Ironwood tips. The call is finished with a glass like CA finish.
With this call it is critical to know how to blow air into the call. Do not just blow air as if you were blowing up a balloon. You must use your diaphragm to blow air. Similar to being hit in the stomach.
With the owl hooter, cup both of your hands over the exhaust end of the call in a way that no air can escape. One hand grasps the end of the call and the other hand cups the hand holding the call. While calling use your hand to allow a limited amount of air to escape. Use your diaphragm to say “who cooks for you, who cooks for you all”. Roll/flutter your tongue on the word all. The owl hooter has a rubber grommet at the exhaust end. This controls the volume, it can be removed to make the call louder. The rubber O-Ring on the soundboard changes the pitch of the call.
